It’s incredible to watch James with my dog. It’s like he has a special bond with dogs and is able to teach me and her how to keep each other content and relaxed. It is so much easier coming home to a happy and calm home than it was when I didn’t know what would be destroyed. We are a happier family now.

Between my partner and me, we had no experience with dog ownership as adults. It was through spending time with good friends and watching them so thoroughly enjoy their animals that we decided to try it ourselves. Grandpaw's turned out to be an absolute blessing. Our boxer puppy was 9 months old when we met her, and she had been under James's care for quite some time. Given the boisterous energy of most boxers I'd known, I was nervous about what sort up upheaval Gila would generate once we brought her home. Much to our surprise, the transition was quite smooth. She was throughly house-trained and knew a number of basic commands when we got her - and better yet, there was a calmness to her disposition that made it easy to integrate her into our lives. I have no doubt that this is due to the training and care that Gila received from James before we got her. Even more, James was readily available via telephone and email to answer any questions or concerns that we had. When we forgot to email him a couple of weeks after we adopted Gila, he followed up with us! We are thoroughly impressed with his professionalism, knowledge, and availability. It has now been three months, and we are delighted with our Gila. Thanks, James!

Before we hired Grandpaw’s to work with our Pointer, Blue, I was unable to even take him out on a walk. We had gotten Blue to be a companion for my husband and I during our retirement. Eventually he pulled too hard on the leash for me to be able to walk him. Since we couldn’t go out, Blue was not social and would bark and growl at workers and people that came to my house. I had to crate him every time we had company. Jimmy was very patient with us and the dog and the results were incredible. We saw results right away. Now Blue walks right next to me on the leash and walks are such a pleasure. Through socialization class and regular behavioral work, Jimmy has turned Blue into our vision of what a companion dog should be. We are so happy. Thank you, Grandpaw’s – you are truly gifted!
